As a Backend & Cloud Engineer at Okieri SoftTech, you will design the mission-critical systems powering our clients businesses. You will build high-throughput APIs, ensure 99.9% uptime, manage database concurrency, and configure scalable cloud infrastructure.

What You Will Build & Deliver
Hands-on responsibilities during your tenure:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot and Node.js.
- Architect robust database models, run migrations, and write optimized SQL queries in PostgreSQL.
- Implement authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and token management.
- Configure Redis caching layers and message queuing (RabbitMQ / BullMQ / Kafka).
- Containerize backend services using Docker and manage deployments on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct load testing, performance profiling, and vulnerability security checks.
Who We Are Looking For
Prerequisites and profile expectations:
- Solid foundation in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript backend development.
- Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and query optimization.
- Familiarity with REST API principles, HTTP status codes, and JSON data structures.
- Basic familiarity with Linux command line, Docker containers, and cloud environments.
- Problem-solving mindset and keen interest in distributed systems architecture.
